Aluminium Shutters for a Courtyard

Powder coated aluminium shutters make a great addition to any outdoor area of the home and look especially good in a courtyard.

The owners of this town house in Rozelle in Sydney’s Inner West had a large window that faced their courtyard. With no window coverings on the glass previously, they felt quite exposed. The team at Signature Shutters and Blinds suggested installing external aluminium shutters in a black powder coat with stainless steel hinges.

The black powder coat was chosen to match the black trim of the doors and windows, creating a seamless look that would go perfectly with the town house. As black is a standard colour within our aluminium shutters range, thee was no extra charge for customer colour.

Our team used stainless steel hinges which are made specifically for external use, allow the shutter panels to open or close, giving access to the window when needed. As the blades of the aluminium shutters work in exactly the same way as internal shutters, they can be angled opened or closed to give privacy when needed.

A stainless steel lock was also installed on the shutters to give extra piece of mind. Though not classed as a security shutter, the lock on the panel and design of the blades on our external aluminium shutters make them very difficult to penetrate and are a very good deterrent for intruders.
